Interlibrary Loan (Books borrowed from our partner libraries)
If the BU Library does not own the book you need, you can request it from another library via interlibrary loan.
Via the Bethel University Library Webpage:
- Locate the LibSearch search box
- Click on Advanced Search
- Sign in to your Bethel account (upper right corner)
- Click on Bethel students, faculty, and staff
- Login with your Bethel username and password
- Place a search for the title of the book
- Scroll through the results list to verify if the book is listed
- If it is listed, click on Check Other Libraries
- Locate the Get it from other locations section
- Locate the Get a physical copy box
- Click on Get It
- Click on Send
- You will be notified via email when the book is available for pick-up at the Library's Check Out Desk
- If it is not listed, click on the Search beyond partner libraries link near the top of the page
- If it is now listed, click on the Get it for me from other libraries link
- Locate the Get it from other locations section
- Locate the Get a physical copy box
- Click on Get It
- Click on Send
- You will be notified via email when the book is available for pick-up at the Library's Check Out Desk
- If it is still not listed, click on the Still didn't find what you need? Click here to send a request link near the top of the page
- Verify that the following Citation Type is checked: Book/Chapter, Dissertation/Thesis, or Media
- Fill out the Resource Sharing Request form
- Check the copyright statement
- If you would like the book mailed to your home, under the Pickup location drop-down menu, select Home Delivery
- Click on Send Request
- You will be notified via email when the book is available for pick-up at the Library's Check Out Desk or if it has been mailed to you
