EBSCOhost Database Search Alerts

EBSCOhost databases: Academic Search Premier, ATLA Religion, Business Source Premier, Communication & Mass Media Complete, EBSCO MegaFILE, ERIC, GreenFILE, MasterFILE Premier, New Testament Abstracts, Old Testament Abstracts, Philosopher's Index, PsycINFO

In order to create a search alert, you will first need to set up a My EBSCO account within an EBSCOhost database. This account will work across all of Bethel's EBSCOhost databases. 

To set up an account:

  • Click on MyEBSCO in the upper right corner of the page and click Sign In
  • Click on Create an Account
  • Fill out the Create a New Account form and click on Create account button

 

To Save a Search Alert:

  • Sign into your My EBSCO account
  • Perform a search on a topic of your choice.
  • Click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner of your search results and select Create Alert

  • On the next screen, make selections to match your preference for name, description (if any), alert frequency, etc. 

How do I view / edit previous alerts?

  • Click on Alerts in My dashboard (you will need to sign in to see this option)
  • Click the 3 dots to the right of your alert and select Edit alert
