Research Appointment with a Librarian

At your research appointment, a librarian can...

  • Help you understand the research process
  • Introduce you to new resources
  • Demonstrate best practices for using databases
  • Explain how to use interlibrary loan or a citation manager like Refworks

Use the "Schedule Appointment" button on the librarian profile (left) to meet with your liaison librarian.  Appointments can be online or in person.

How to prepare for your appointment

  • Claify research requirements with your professor
  • Bring your laptop if your meeting is in person
  • Have assignment details available for the librarian
  • Narrow down your topic or subject to research
  • Try several keyword searches in different databases on your own
  • Make note of any questions you have so we can provide the best support possible for you
