Finding Aids

Finding aids are inventories of archival collections. They record contextual information about the collection, such as biographical history, custodial history, access to the collection, and lists of the content.

Searching the Finding Aids

To search the History Center's finding aids, first navigate to the Research page on the History Center website. Use the search bar on the Finding Aids tab to search for topics, like "missions" or "meeting minutes", places, such as "Ethiopia", and names, such as "Carl Lundquist."

You can also use the Advanced Search button to search for multiple search terms, limit by record type, or limit by date.

Once you find a collection or record you would like to see, use the "Request" button in the top right corner to schedule an appointment.
