Getting books from partner libraries

The Bethel library is in a consortium with a number of other libraries in the Twin Cities that share books between them via a daily courier service.  You can request items from our partner libraries through LibSearch.

How do I request a book from a partner library?

  • Click on the title of the book in your search results, look at the "Physical Copies" section of the detailed record
  • Be sure to sign in, if you have not:

  • If Bethel does not own a copy, or if our copy is checked out, check to see if another library owns the book
  •  If another library has a copy, click on the request link:

  • Double check the information on request form that will pop up, and Submit your request
  • When you receive an email telling you that the book is available, you may pick it up at the BU Library's Circulation Desk
