Obtaining Library Materials

While the library remains closed, the following services are now available to Seminary students.

  • Books in the Bethel Library collections are available for request in CLICsearch. Select the "Request from a Bethel Library" option and then choose "Home Address" as the pickup location. Your current mailing address must be included in the request form.
  • Book chapters and articles from print journals in the Bethel Library collections may be requested in CLICsearch for digitization.

The library is not able to provide physical items (books, DVDs, CDs, etc.) from other libraries. We are able to provide digital resources. We are also able to request articles ands book chapters from other libraries.

  • To find out if our library has a specific journal, you can check the Journal Title List.
  • To request any journal articles or book chapters that are not available online, please use the appropriate ILLiad request formIn most cases, articles will be delivered as PDF files.

Mailing Policy for Library Materials

The mailing policy for library materials can be found at https://www.bethel.edu/library/services/distance. The library covers the cost of mailing material to Seminary students. The student is responsible for the cost of return postage. Books may be mailed using Library Rate.
